Several applications in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace and Chemical Engineering, and Finance, to name only a few, can be modeled as optimization problems. The purpose of this Half-day event is to discuss numbers of real-world optimization projects and the state of the art of solution methods and algorithms for tackling various large-scale problems. This event offers scientists the opportunity to embark upon bottom-up, multidisciplinary and collaborative networks across science and technology domains with the aim of effective international cooperation. The International IUT One-day event in Real World Optimization can gather together interested graduate and PhD students in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial and System Analysis Engineering, Mathematical Sciences, and experts from industries.
