The Deputy Secretary General of International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Mr. Malcolm Johnson, visited Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) and Isfahan Regional Center for Technology Incubator and Science Park Development (IRIS) on the 18th of July, 2019.
This visit which succeeded a previous visit by Mr. Johnson almost a decade ago was organized to demonstrate the development and progress of ISTT in different fields especially in the field of ICT.
For this purpose, Johnson with Dr. Mohammad Javad Omidi, Vice president for Research and Technology of Isfahan University of Technology, which is the UNESCO Regional Director in the Isfahan Science and Technology town at the same time, visited ISTT and acquainted with the advances and achievements of the ICT-based institutions. He also elaborated on the activities of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the different memberships it encompasses.
At the end, Deputy Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union met the head of Isfahan University of Technology.
