During the closing ceremony of the fifth Mustafa Prize and the event of scientific experience exchanges among top scientists of the Islamic world at Isfahan University of Technology, a memorandum of understanding was signed between IUT and the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineering, located at the National Research University of Uzbekistan.

The memorandum emphasized the recognition of the importance of international collaborations in higher education and scientific research, and both institutions agreed to enhance mutual cooperation in this regard.

Facilitating student exchanges at the undergraduate and graduate levels, promoting the exchange of faculty members, students, and researchers, and participating in joint research activities, including joint research programs and projects, are among the objectives of this memorandum of understanding.

The National Research University has a prominent position among Uzbekistan's universities. By signing this memorandum, Isfahan University of Technology aims to pursue joint programs of advanced studies and joint scientific events with Uzbekistan to further develop scientific diplomacy in the region.
