Isfahan University of Technology hosted a group of 18 students from China's Tsinghua University. On Wednesday, August 17, 2023, Isfahan University of Technology hosted a group of 18 students from Tsinghua University in China. This program was held as part of scientific and cultural exchanges between Iranian and Chinese universities. During this one-day program, the Chinese students visited various departments of Isfahan University of Technology and Isfahan Science and Technology Town, familiarizing themselves with their technologies and knowledge-based products. Dr. Peiman Mosadegh, the Director of International Relations at Isfahan University of Technology, emphasized the importance of international interactions, stating that the purpose of such programs is to activate the potential of Shanghai and establish technical, scientific, and technological collaborations with China.

He stated that Tsinghua University is considered one of the top universities in Asia and the world, adding that the university has plans to send 300 students to different countries around the world. After conducting interviews and scientific selection process, the first group was sent to Iran after the post-COVID-19, indicating the significance of Iran in the Middle East. Dr. Mosaddegh further added that Tsinghua University considers Iran as a key country in the Middle East and believes that signing a memorandum of understanding between the two countries will lead to further scientific cooperation with China in the Middle East.

During their scientific trip to Iran, the students from Tsinghua University visited universities in Tehran, Sharif University of Technology, Shiraz, and Isfahan University of Technology, as well as Isfahan Science and Technology Town. They described the academic and educational environment of Iranian universities as intimate and welcoming. One of the highlights of this trip was the visit to Isfahan University of Technology and the Science and Technology Park, where they witnessed technological advancements in Iran and the transformation of ideas into technology despite the imposed sanctions on the country.

It is worth mentioning that Tsinghua University is one of the most prestigious universities in Asia and the world, ranking first in China, third in Asia, and 24th in the Times Higher Education Rankings.

Stating that Chinhua University is one of the top universities in Asia and the world, he said: This university is planning to visit 300 groups of students from different countries of the world, which has sent its first group to Iran after the interview and scientific selection. And this shows the importance of Iran in the Middle East region. Dr. Mossadegh added: Chinhua University considers Iran as a key country in the Middle East and believes that the signing of the memorandum between these two countries will lead to more scientific cooperation with China in the Middle East.
