The Swiss ambassador in Iran visited Isfahan University of Technology while visiting Isfahan and toured the international affairs of the university and the Swiss Desk.

Nadine Olivieri Lozano, the new ambassador of Switzerland to Iran, along with Dr. Chantal Deli, the scientific advisor of this country in Iran, met with the university's executive board, as well as the director of international affairs and the head of the Swiss Desk during a meeting held at Isfahan University of Technology.

At this meeting, which was planned in view of the imminent change of the scientific attaché of the Swiss embassy in Tehran and her effective role in developing scientific and research cooperation between the two countries, the necessity of maintaining and developing these relations was emphasized while reviewing the history of scientific and research activities between the two countries and the role of the scientific attaché of the embassy and the Swiss Desk in defining this cooperation.

In the continuation of this meeting, Dr. Abideh Jafari, the head of the Swiss Desk, referring to the history of scientific cooperation between Iran and Switzerland, presented a history on the process of establishing the Swiss Desk as the national contact point for international scientific cooperation between the two countries.

It is worth mentioning that the International Scientific Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology appointed Isfahan University of Technology as the Swiss National Contact Point in February 2017.
