The global ranking of the National University of Taiwan for 2020 was announced in which 12 Iranian universities are among the top 800 universities in the world. In this ranking, among the universities of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Isfahan University of Technology was ranked 2nd after the University of Tehran with the rank of 601-650.
Taiwan National University has been ranking the world's universities based on the quantity and quality of their performance in scientific papers since 2007 and determines the top 500 universities worldwide every year. This ranking system aims at evaluating the scientific performance of universities, especially their research performance based on objective indicators and without being biased. Evaluation in this system is carried out through 8 indicators and three lines of research productivity, research impact, and research excellence. The indexes data of this system are extracted from the citation indexes of "Web of Science", "H Index" and " Clarivate Analytics ".
