According to the ranking group for universities and research institutes of the Islamic World Science Citation Center, Dr. Mohammad Javad Dehghani, head of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), announced the publication of the subject rankings of the world's top universities in Shanghai 2020 Ranking System for the 4th year. He stated that Shanghai Subject Ranking in 2020 has been carried out in 54 majors in 5 general areas including engineering (22 majors), basic sciences (8 majors), life sciences (4 majors), medical sciences (6 majors) and social sciences (14 majors).
35 universities from Iran have participated in this ranking among which we see top Iranian universities in 5 fields of Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Atmospheric Sciences, and Ecology among the top universities in the world.
IUT is ranked among the top universities in the fields of Basic Sciences, Engineering, and Life Sciences.
In the area of Engineering and in the field of Instrument Science and Technology Engineering, there are 7 universities from Iran, and IUT is at the top of the Iranian universities while gaining the 35th position worldwide.
In the field of Mechanical Engineering, as in 2019, there are 16 universities from Iran, and IUT, with the position of 201-300, is among the top 300 universities worldwide.
