The international event of scientific and technological exchanges, held simultaneously with the fifth edition of the Mustafa Prize, took place at Isfahan University of Technology on Monday, 1 October 2023, with the presence of 20 top scientists from the Islamic world and selected recipients of the Mustafa Prize.
Dr. Seyed Ali Mohammad Maibody, IUT president, attended the gathering and stated, "The Mustafa Prize has become a symbol of wisdom, progress, and achievements that propel humanity towards excellence."
He considered the Mustafa Prize as a symbol of collaboration among nations and emphasized: "This event provides an environment for sharing ideas, nurturing them, and turning them into tangible realities that have an impact on life worldwide, especially in Muslim societies."
Dr. Maibady continued by stating that this prestigious award is a valuable incentive for scientists and researchers to further advance their projects and assist them in finding solutions to societal issues and improving the quality of life for people.
Referring to the joint efforts of scientists, he stated: "The efforts made in addressing global challenges, from climate change to medical advancements, sustainable energy solutions, and space exploration, demonstrate the power of scientists to bring about a better future for future generations."
Dr. Peiman Mosaddegh, Director of International Cooperation Center at Isfahan University of Technology, also emphasized on the grandeur of hosting a large gathering of scientists from the Islamic world by Isfahan University of Technology and stated that the university aims to establish international connections between science and technology professors from Islamic countries and Iranian scientists and researchers.
He expressed his hope for resolving the issues faced by Islamic countries and drew attentions to signing agreements between Isfahan University of Technology and other Islamic universities in the fields of basic sciences and engineering as one of the achievements of the STEP event at Isfahan University of Technology.
