According to  the latest ranking of world universities in the US News Ranking System in 2019, Isfahan University of Technology with a score of 42.8 and a global ranking of 590 has got fourth place in the ranking among the top universities in Iran. It has also got the first place of  ranking  in Physics and Materials Engineering.

The Top three universities in Iran are : Tehran university ( with the score of 48/6 & global rank of 438), Islamic Azad University of Iran ( with the score of 47/7 & global ranking of 460) and Sharif  University of Technology (with the score of 44/7 & global ranking of 550) respectively.

Followed by Isfahan University of Technology, AMIRKABIR University of Technology and Tehran University of Medical Sciences ranked fifth and sixth respectively.
